How To Make Fondant Roses for Cupcakes & Wedding/Bridal Cupcakes

Banner for Fondant Roses

Happy New Year everybody!!
I hope everybody had a peaceful and absolutely wonderful celebration of Jesus’ birth, and of course a great time with family and friends during New Year’s Eve.
I know it has been a good minute since my last blogpost but I have moved in December and things were just hectic, hectic, hectic, no time for blogging much but now I am back in full effect :-)

Last week I made a Cake Pop and Cupcake order for a wedding/bridal fair, Germany’s biggest, which takes place in Hannover and that, coincidently happens to be where I live.
The souvenir and gift article shop “wonderland4u” contacted me because they wanted to have a Candy Bar at their stand at the fair. So they needed Cupcakes and Cake Pops, designed food tents and a backdrop garland.

For the Cake Pops I decided to make white and pink ones, red heart shaped Cake Pops to fit the wedding theme perfectly. Same for the Cupcakes: I chose Vanilla and Chocolate Cupcakes with white and pink creamcheese frosting.
But to make it all look more elegant, I made fondant roses and leaves – giving it all a romantic touch, you know :-)

I did not take brilliant how-to photos (sorry about that) but I just want to show you guys that fondant roses aren’t too hard to do.

Working with fondant is a lot of fun, I tell you!

DIY: Cake Bunting and Glittered Candle Jars + free printables

cake bunting

Hi there :-)

Here I go again with a little DIY post. This time I have two different easy but so lovely things to show you!
How to make a bunting for a cake, same for the backdrop happy birthday garland and glittered candle jars the easy way.

These jars would be great for christmas, I would take red or green glitter instead of violet but that’s all a matter of taste :-)

Cute and Lovely Christmas Snowman Cake Pops, perfect for the holidays.

Banner Snowman Cake Pops

Just like with any other holiday: It’s coming so fast! Before you know it you have so much stuff on your to-do list that you get very stressed-out and this, at least for me, is no fun at all.
So I thought to post my Christmas Snowman Cake Pops now instead of in December.

When I make my baking plans for holidays, I usually look stuff up 1 or 2 months early and start planning what to bake, what to cook, how to decorate my place etc.
And when I recently thought of making Christmas Cake Pops, I knew it had to be Snowmen :-)
I love these little fellas, because these Snowmen aren’t the regular kind. I changed them up a little bit comparing to the usual kind.
They even fit perfectly to Valentines Day (indeed there is snow often in February) because of the little hearts I used as bottons.

DIY: Make your own Cupcake Toppers (free printable)

cupcake toppers

This is what happens when you all want to make everything yourself: You design and craft cute cupcake toppers for a huge birthday party and when the day comes you forget to even stick them in the cupcakes :-)
This happened to me on Kris’ golden and violet birthday party. I had way too much on my mind and when the party was over I found my little bag with all the cupcake toppers, waiting for their performance.
It was funny though!

Anyway, here is how to make them, it is SO easy.
Once you have a certain design you like, just print it out (make sure the measurements are exact though) and cut it out.

Festive Gold & Violet Party Cake Pops, Cupcake Pops and Bites

golden and violet cake pops

Hi everyone!
I recently posted about the birthday party where we used gold and violet as the color scheme. And I thought it would be neat to have the sweet treats in the same colors – this way it would all fit together perfectly.

So today I will write about all the Cake Pops, Cupcake Pops and Cake Bites I made for Kris’ surprise birthday party and I wrote down the recipe also, for everyone to make at home.

Crafty: Golden Polymer Clay Cupcake Jewelry

For the Golden and Violet birthday party we did for Kris, I thought it would totally fit to make her personalized jewelry.
And since she loves gold, I made her two pairs of golden earrings and a matching pendant.

I used polymer clay to form/mold the cuppies, brushed them with gold dust and then baked them in the oven. Afterwards I used gloss paint to give them a nice finish..
